References AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: The New Normal (2020)
A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen, who used the voice, comes from one called “Mentats of Dune.” All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk doctors. It’s pretty stupid to me how many people are complaining about this show after one decent pilot.
The quality was fine
I would give the first episode a 7.6. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but it certainly wasn’t crappy like so many of these stupid reviewers are making it out to be. NO, it’s not like Sex and the City.
Let’s release a few more episodes first, dammit!
AND YES, the whole Benne Ghesserit mission is about bloodline manipulation in politics. That’s been shown in both the movies and the books, so what are you talking about, people who give it 1-5 stars!? Stop rating a series so highly after just one episode.
